Welcome to The Grange and Elm Court

The Grange and Elm Court offers a place where those with mental health and addiction issues can work towards recovery, in a structured, safe and supportive environment.

The Grange. our traditional stone farmhouse, is set within rolling countryside, and provides a peaceful ambience, helping people on their road to recovery. Also on site, Elm Court comprises a number of semi-independent self-contained apartments.

We can accommodate everything from short-term respite care to long-term rehabilitation periods for those needing more care and support. The people who live here are encouraged to be as independent as possible, which includes tending to a small, wildlife-friendly garden, that is used for sports, recreation and watching nature through the seasons. Other favourite pastimes include art and music, and the whole home enjoys a range of themed activities throughout the year.

Our home is YOUR home, and our staff members are dedicated to your care and comfort, and the promotion of wellbeing.

Family members and friends are welcome to visit as and when they like. Drinks and snacks are always available and we are happy to provide meals for visitors by prior arrangement.

Meet the Manager

team-member

Vicki Ellis

Vicki Ellis joined The Grange and Elm Court in 2003, beginning as a domestic assistant. She worked her way up to care assistant, senior carer, team leader, deputy manager and now home manager. She has undertaken NVQ Levels 2 and 3 in Health and Social Care and competed an advanced level apprenticeship in management. She is studying towards her NVQ Level 5 in Health and Social Cae and is a qualified first aider and trained fire marshall.

She says: "I have been the very proud Registered Manager of the service for the last six years, and have completed a total of almost 18 years here. I have loved every moment, too. I don’t think I’ll ever stop learning as I strive to provide the very best care that I can. Everyone who knows me understands that The Grange and Elm Court, and its amazing residents are my life. I absolutely adore the people who live here, and could never see myself working anywhere else. Since managing the service I have achieved two ‘Good’ CQC inspection ratings, which is an achievement I am exceptionally proud of. Over the years, I know I have become a stronger person. I remain totally grounded with a positive attitude. With my strong northern accent, I have a personality that gets on with everyone I meet. The home is where my heart is - we really are one big family here. I think the world of my staff too, and am so proud of them all. Our home is all that it is because of them.”
